Terms of Service

You must be at least the age of majority in your province, state or territory and able to form a binding contract to use SenseFolio. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

SenseFolio aggregates your investment accounts, looks through the ETFs you hold to reveal your real underlying holdings, and provides a Sensefolio score and related analytics built on open and third-party data. The Service is an informational tool only.

SenseFolio does not provide financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice and is not a registered investment adviser, dealer or broker. Nothing in the Service is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, or a solicitation or offer to do so.

The Sensefolio score is an informational signal derived from open and third-party data, using a transparent rule set. It is not an audited or third-party-measured rating (such as a credit rating), and reflects only the portion of your portfolio for which data is available. You are solely responsible for your investment decisions and should consult a qualified professional before acting.

You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Authentication is handled by our provider (Clerk). Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

• You may connect supported brokerages through SnapTrade and/or Plaid. You authorize SenseFolio to retrieve your accounts, holdings, positions and balances on a read-only basis.
• SenseFolio cannot place trades, transfer funds, or otherwise act on your accounts. We never receive your brokerage login credentials.
• You can revoke a connection at any time from the dashboard; this stops further data retrieval.
• Brokerage data is provided by third parties and your broker. We are not responsible for its accuracy, completeness or timeliness.

You are responsible for the accuracy of any portfolios, tickers and quantities you enter manually. Analytics derived from inaccurate inputs will be inaccurate.

• SenseFolio offers a free tier and a paid Growth subscription. Paid features (such as brokerage auto-import and the full universe) require an active subscription.
• Subscriptions are billed through Stripe on a monthly or annual basis. A free trial, where offered, automatically converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel before it ends.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Prices may change; we will give you notice before a change applies to you. Applicable taxes may be added.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

You agree not to:

• use the Service unlawfully or in violation of these Terms;
• scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract data, or use the Service to build a competing product;
• reverse engineer, interfere with, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems;
• upload malware or attempt to disrupt the Service's integrity or performance;
• misrepresent your identity or another person's data as your own.

The Service, including its software, design, and the SenseFolio and Sensefolio score names and logos, is owned by SenseFolio and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. Your own data remains yours.

The Service relies on third-party data and providers, including market-data providers, ESG data derived from public SEC filings, SnapTrade, Plaid and Stripe. Such data is provided “as is”, and we do not warrant its accuracy, completeness or fitness for any purpose. Your use of connected third-party services is also subject to their terms.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any analytics or Sensefolio score will be accurate or complete.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SenseFolio and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, investments, data or goodwill arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SenseFolio and its operators from any claims, losses or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as disclaimers, limitation of liability and intellectual property) will continue to apply.

We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. For material changes to the Terms, we will update the “Last updated” date and provide reasonable notice. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of [Province] and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in [Province] will have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
